Dr. Ben Carson: Biden's Mental Condition Puts The Country At Risk - 'Something Is Being Hidden'

During an interview with Newsmax on Friday, Dr. Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon and former head of Trump's Housing and Urban Development, explained that President Joe Biden's mental condition is putting the country at risk. Carson's comments come after a recent report revealed that the White House is taking extraordinary measures to ensure that the public doesn't notice the president's age during his brief walks from the White House to the presidential helicopter, Marine One.

Since mid-April, the president has been joined by an entourage of White House staff or lawmakers as he went to board or depart from Marine One to distract from the president's lack of agility. As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, deputy chiefs of staff Bruce Reed, Annie Tomasini, and advisor Mike Donilon have been seen walking the president to the helicopter in recent weeks. 

"His physical and mental condition is really quite concerning," Carson said, adding that foreigners have told him that he is a "laughingstock" to the rest of the world. This international perception of our president's condition is not only embarrassing but also potentially dangerous. "If he is not functionally at capacity, he puts the entire country at risk."

"Some people are saying, at his age, I know a lot of people who are older than him who are mentally quite agile. There's something more wrong. And this is a problem that could be easily resolved by him doing a mental status test," Carson told Newsmax's Eric Bolling. "Why are they afraid to do a mental status test? If they are so certain that he is sharp as a tack, that would not be an issue at all, so obviously, something is being hidden there. You don't have to be a doctor to see that he has declined."

According to a recent poll from the Associated Press, a staggering 63 percent of respondents expressed their lack of confidence in President Biden's mental capabilities, stating they are 'not very or not at all confident.' When broken down by party, the results are equally alarming for the D, with Biden losing the confidence of 32 percent of Democrats, 80 percent of independents, and a whopping 91 percent of Republicans.

President Biden's physical and mental capabilities have undeniably waned with his age. The fact that Democrats and First Lady Jill Biden are still advocating for him to run for another four-year term is disconcerting. Biden's mental lapses have already led to humiliating gaffes and a clear inability to think on his feet. The 81-year-old president, who would be 86 by the end of a potential second term, has steadfastly refused to engage in unscripted interviews or press conferences. This lack of transparency is not reassuring to undecided voters who perceive a frail and elderly man at the helm of the nation.
